Domain dispute policy (UDRP)
Operated by [LEGAL ENTITY FULL NAME — TO BE COMPLETED] · Last updated July 19, 2026
[LEGAL ENTITY FULL NAME — TO BE COMPLETED] (“Hostlas”) provides domain name registration and related DNS services as a registrar or through registrar partners. This Policy explains how Hostlas handles disputes concerning domain names registered through Hostlas under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (“UDRP”) adopted by ICANN, and analogous mandatory policies for applicable TLDs.
This page summarizes Hostlas’s operational posture. It does not replace the official UDRP, the UDRP Rules, the applicable Provider’s supplemental rules, registry policies, or your registration agreement.
1. Agreement to UDRP
By registering or renewing a domain through Hostlas, you agree that disputes alleging that a domain was registered or used in bad faith (including cybersquatting under the UDRP’s elements) may be resolved under the UDRP or other mandatory dispute policies for that TLD. Hostlas will implement decisions from accredited dispute-resolution providers and orders from courts of competent jurisdiction as required.
2. Proceedings and locking
When Hostlas receives valid notice of a UDRP (or similar) proceeding affecting a domain in your account, we may:
- Lock the domain against unauthorized transfers or registrant changes during the proceeding, as policy requires
- Notify the registrant of record using the contact details on file
- Comply with freeze, unlock, or transfer instructions from the Provider or registrar of record
You remain responsible for responding to proceedings and for accuracy of registrant contact data.
3. Transfers during disputes
Domains subject to an open UDRP case typically cannot be transferred to another registrar until the case concludes or applicable policy allows. After a decision, Hostlas will implement transfer or cancellation instructions consistent with the decision and registrar requirements.
4. Court actions
Nothing in this Policy prevents a party from seeking relief in court. Hostlas may comply with court orders affecting domains even when a UDRP case is not filed. Hostlas is not a party to disputes solely between complainants and registrants except as required to implement lawful orders.
5. Notices to Hostlas
Send domain dispute notices intended for Hostlas to [LEGAL ENTITY FULL NAME — TO BE COMPLETED], [REGISTERED ADDRESS — TO BE COMPLETED], and via Contact (topic: Legal / privacy request) or support@hostlas.com. Include:
- Domain name(s)
- Provider case number and Provider name (if any)
- Complainant and respondent identification
- Copies of complaints, decisions, or court orders
6. Relationship to Terms
Domain Services remain subject to the Terms of Service, registry agreements, and any registration agreement presented at checkout. Hostlas may suspend Services for domains used in abuse independent of UDRP timing.
7. Changes
We may update this Policy to reflect ICANN, registry, or partner-registrar changes. The posted version applies prospectively to new notices we receive after the update date.
